How to twist a poly popper/cracker

First off take 26 inches of poly line or similar. I use a vice and a spindle locking drill to twist mine as you can see below. (I like to use a drill as you see then you can get them as tight as you like)
showing drill and vice
I then twist the line until it starts to tighten. Try it a few times till you work out how tight is best for you.
With finger and thumb grab around the middle of the twisted part of the line.
spin and fold
Now slowly let the line twist itself by holding it folded as shown.
let the thread slowly twist
Now take it out of the drill and vice pull a forward facing hitch with 2 inches of very end free.
forming the half hitch
Now pull another hitch 2 inches back from the first if you want a backup knot.
See below.
second knot
Only do the extra knot if you need a backup so you can cut the first knot (if there is no fray left) and you will have a fresh fluff on the cracker.
